The NFL draft came and went and with it came new optimism for the Eagles and their faithful. After making several stellar moves leading up to the draft and during it, the Eagles have now placed themselves as favorites to win the NFC East and maybe the conference as a whole.

It seems to be common among fans to complain about the team quarterback.  No matter how well the quaterback does there will always be someone to say he could do better, there will always be someone yelling we need a new one and there will always be someone who forgets just how bad things were before McNabb became a fulltime, pro bowl, possible Hall of Fame quarterback.

The 2008 season for the Philadelphia Eagles was a typically tumultuous one. The Eagles made another late-season push to get into the playoffs only to fall short in the NFC championship game to a different opponent. Despite the same result, the Eagles and their fans are left with another familiar off-season emotion: optimism.

ention shifts from the Superbowl to the off-season and the draft, the Steelers in-state rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, will try to make necessary adjustments after being beaten by the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship game. Being beaten in the NFC title game is an unfortunate but familiar sight for the Eagles and the Philly faithful. The loss against the Cardinals now brings the Eagles' recent conference championship game record to 1-4. Tough losses coming to the St. Louis Rams, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Carolina Panthers and now the Cardinals. The lone victory came against the Atlanta Falcons which propelled the Eagles into a Superbowl loss to the New England Patriots.

Unrestricted free agent wideout TJ Houshmandzadeh went on a Philadelphia radio show this morning in a TO-like manner, letting it be known that he would like to be on the receiving end of Donovan Mcnabb passes come September.

This is the first one.  Now, with that said, it does not mean there will be a second one.  But there was a first.  Every streak must come to an end.  This one, however, seems one of ageless wonder.  I am no different than anyone else.  I am a normal guy.  I will tell you blogging saves my life.  Nor will I tell you blogging will change the world or cure cancer.  It is a thing I do.  And hopefully something I will do well.
